CATEC successfully concluded its participation in the third edition of ADM Seville, the largest business meeting in the aerospace and defense industry in Spain, held last May, and this year again exceeded expectations in terms of company, organization, and professional attendance internationally.

As in previous years, CATEC had an exhibit stand where it presented its latest developments and technological services offered to improve the competitiveness of the aerospace industry and held numerous conferences and business meetings with potential customers, such as partners and contributors to the center. In total, those responsible for CATEC held more than 60 interviews with companies and national and international stakeholders.

This year, CATEC focused its promotional activities on new technologies and applications for the Factory of the Future and on unmanned systems, sharing exhibition space with the technology parks Aerópolis and Sur in order to offer a joint bid of technological services available to businesses.

Moreover, CATEC collaborated in various roundtables and parallel technical workshops at the event, such as the round table "El Espacio que viene", in which our director, Joaquín Rodriguez Grau, participated as a speaker along with the leaders of GMV, Alter Technology, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Seville School of Engineering. Or the involvement of Fernando Lasagni, Head of Materials and Processes, in a workshop about the Factory of the Future and new techniques and digital technologies aimed at aircraft manufacturing.

Also, Rodriguez Grau was part of a panel discussion on the European research programme Clean Sky 2, which highlighted the advantages of this programme for the promotion of R&D between the Andalusian aeronautical companies. He also served as moderator in another debate about the Andalusian and Spanish aerospace sector, their situation, and their future prospects.
