CATEC consolidates its international presence after its participation in the Paris Air Show Le Bourget 2013
CATEC was present again in the most important international exhibition of the aerospace sector, the Paris Air Show Le Bourget 2013 which celebrated last June its 50th edition. A participation that yielded very positive results for our center, that returned to consolidate its international presence and reinforced partnerships with other organizations and companies in the aviation industry in Europe.

Our Center presented himself as the best partner for the technological development in the sector and an excellence space of research at the service of the international aerospace industry. To do this, CATEC edited a special information bulletin that included a summary of its catalog of services and technological capabilities, as well as the most outstanding projects and researches in their areas of expertise, such as unmanned systems (UAV's), where it leads several jobs at a European level. The bullettin was distributed at the stand of the Andalusian delegation present at the fair.

CATEC was represented by its general manager, Juan Pedro Vela, who held interviews and meetings with companies, institutions and organizations from several countries interested in the Centre for the development of common projects. Among the proposals in the fair, the one that aroused more interest was the ATLAS Experimental Flight Center, that CATEC is building in Jaén and that will welcome by the end of this year the first installations of Spain and Europe devoted entirely to the testing of new technologies and lightweight UAV systems.

In addition, the general director of CATEC participated in the program of activities of the Andalusian delegation present at Le Bourget in which there were included meetings with business associations and aerospace clusters of various countries, like the aerospace cluster Aeromontreal of Canada, the French cluster ASTECH, of the parisian area, the cluster PEMAS of Portugal, and with the U.S. firms in Washington state, as well as with the prominent responsibles of EADS and the European Space Agency (ESA).
