The Covid-19 health crisis has also caused another economic crisis pandemic that is impacting, and greatly, in practically all industrial activity. In the case of the aeronautical and aerospace sector, it is especially serious. The paralysis of air traffic for weeks gave way to all kinds of consequences in the industry at an international level, from the large manufacturers, and through the supply chain and the auxiliary industry.

Andalusia, which is one of the main hubs in Europe with the greatest potential in the aeronautical sector, assumes the impact of this crisis but placing its hopes in traditional sectors such as defence, but also in others such as drones and RPAS, Urban Air Mobility or New Space, market niches in which CATEC has proven experience and, above all, with opportunities for greater growth thanks to the projects we are developing.

The pandemic has slowed but not paralyzed our activity at CATEC, where we have continued working on new technologies and developments that will be transferred to the industry with the aim of increasing its competitive strength.
