A Group of German companies and stakeholders participated on the 29th and 30th October in a reverse trade mission held between Seville and Jerez aimed to find out about business opportunities in the Andalusian Aeronautic industry. The initiative organized through “Invest in Andalusia”, under the Regional Government of Economy, Innovation and Science and managed by Extenda, the Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia, Extenda and the IDEA Agency was notably directed to MRO companies

During the seminar, the German professionals visited some interesting Aeronautic sites and locations, like the FAL for the A400 and the Aerospace Technology Park of Andalusia, Aerópolis, where they went to CATEC’s facilities and showed their interest specially in the capacities of rapid manufacturing and HALL-HASS tests, and also in technologies related to UAVs. They also went to visit the airports of Jerez and Seville.

Nowadays, Andalusia is the third European aeronautic pole, together with Toulouse and Hamburg. On the other hand, Andalusia has lived a milestone with the first flight of the A400M carried out in Seville and is working on other European projects like the A380, the most spacious and efficient cabin and the Final Assembly Lines for the C-212, C-235 y C-295 from Airbus Military, or the participation in the new A350, also from Airbus. This outlook of great projects, together with its International airports facilities –Seville, Malaga and Jerez- mean a great opportunity for the MRO sector, and also for logistic companies.
