A total of 36 students from nine different countries, most of them PhD students and recent graduates in the field of robotics and autonomous vehicles, arrived at Workshop and Summer School Eurathlon / ARCAS 2014, held from 14 to 18 June in Seville. This event was organized by CATEC and partners in European projects Eurahtlon and ARKS and served to publicize some of the latest advances and developments in the field of international research in this area, as well as for participants to acquire new theoretical knowledge and practical on multi-domain (land, water and air) robotic systems.

During the four-day seminar lectures on navigation and control systems for autonomous vehicles, data processing onboard sensors, multi-domain cooperation and object manipulation by robotic systems robots, among others. Also, there were made three talks by expert teachers on the subject invited to the event: Professor Anibal Ollero, University of Seville and CATEC scientific advisor; Thomas B. Curtin, the Institute for Adaptive Systems U.S.; and Professor Marc Carreras, University of Gerona.

The seminar was completed with demonstrations of aerial robots manipulation in CATEC facilities and inspection tasks with a submarine robot made in the clubhouse pool Vistazul of Dos Hermanas, conducted by researchers of the Centre for Underwater Robotics Research (CIRS) of the University of Girona.
